About the Author - Aaron Huff
Aaron Huff–that’s me–is a respected journalist, speaker, and consultant to the transportation industry. Three years ago, I heard a private fleet manager boldly tell a room full of executives from trucking companies that “Where we (private fleets) are going as an industry should scare you to death.” Intrigued, I have since become consumed with researching and educating private fleets and shippers of the many opportunities for working together to share capacity and cost savings. Although most people don’t know this, I believe that private fleets are inherently better than common carriers —for their own shippers as well as for other shippers and 3PLs. There are several reasons for this, so read the blog to find out why. The purpose of this blog is to educate the trucking and shipping industries about the many advantages and opportunities for shippers, private fleets and logistics companies to work together to implement private fleet backhaul solutions.
I work full time for Commercial Carrier Journal magazine, which is a property of Randall-Reilly Publishing Co. I also do some consulting work on the side. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Communications and a Masters of Science in Operations Management. I also have an adorable wife and kid who manage to put up with all my strange passions in life, such as trucking, basketball, politics, and electronics.

Hello,
I have been in the the Truck Towing Business for over 25 years. The biggest problem I found in the trucking Industry private and Commercial. Is that their dispatchers or themselves for that matter do not know where they are. I can not count the times I have been called for a tow, only to find the truck is not anywhere to be found. It is only after several calls to the dispatcher and/or driver that the location be found, and is usually miles away. If that is not bad enough, when I arrive on scene the truck does not even need a tow. All it needs is some coolant!!! Now this has been a waste of time and money for both of us. If I could have only had the correct location and problem, I would have sent a service truck and had them back on the road in minutes with less cost.
So I did something about this problem, I now offer the LATEST technology in GPS Tracking and Anti-Theft systems. This is developed for complete fleet management control. It will handle every need, over speed alert, satellite tracking w/ real time photo, lock/unlock doors, complete reporting, disable vehicle, even plug it in to a standard OBDII connector and read vehicle codes/sensor data remotely. This is but a small part of what this new system can do. It is all preformed by your dispatcher from anywhere in the world, No third party needed. You will not find a better system check it out for yourself today. You can find all the details at WWW.FINDVEHICLE.NET
